With 44 years' experience as bond counsel, John Fischer has advised clients on a range of tax-exempt financings for health care facilities ranging from small rural facilities to national and regional health care systems. His current practice includes nursing care and continuing care residential communities.

In governmental finance, Mr. Fischer works on traditional general obligation issues and water and sewer finance for municipalities, counties and special districts in Ohio.

He frequently drafts legislation related to debt issuance in Ohio and was the primary drafter of the legislation permitting Ohio counties to issue obligations backed by county sales taxes and recent legislation in Ohio to facilitate the use of derivative products by Ohio political subdivisions.

Served as bond counsel for a total return swap for the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati

Serves as bond counsel to Hamilton County, Ohio and the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati
